Qatari Court Sentences Two For Human Trafficking Case.
Doha: The National Committee for Combatting Human Trafficking applauded the issuance of the decision of the First Instance Court of the Supreme Judiciary Council against two defendants who hold Pakistani citizenship for a situation identified with illegal exploitation. In a judgment considered as a triumph for equity, the court indicted the respondents for having perpetrated the wrongdoing against two home laborers specified in Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Law No. 15 of 2011.

According to QNA, the defendants, who hold Pakistani citizenship, were charged with violation of Law No. 15 of 2011 for combating trafficking in human beings.”
In a judgment considered as a victory for justice, the court convicted the defendants for having committed the crime against two domestic workers which are punishable under Law No. 15 of 2011 for combating trafficking in human beings,” QNA said.
“The charge consisted of forcibly exploiting the victims, practicing slavery and servitude, detaining the victims and depriving them of their freedom, harnessing and forcing them to work without pay, and assaulting the integrity of the victims’ bodies.”
